A Week of Pi, Day 3: Pi Day Activities

We’ve talked about what pi is, and have seen some Pi Day contests you can enter or create. Now for some Pi Day activities you can do. All the sites linked below have excellent lists of activities for learning about pi.

• Piday.org’s Pi Day Activities for Teachers has a long list of ideas submitted by teachers.
• Exploratorium has several Pi Day activities.
• The Math Forum has pi songs you can sing.
• NCTM has some interesting Pi Day activities, including one with throwing hot dogs.
• Scholastic has some good ideas for exploring pi, including activities for younger students.
• Find many more activities on our Pi Day Pinterest Board.
