DIY: Ninja Party Bags for Girls

When my daughter decided she wanted a ninja party I thought, “Oh, great, that will be easy.” But then she specified that the ninjas needed to be pink. I quickly began searching Pinterest for clever ideas that I could recreate. Since we are having her party at a small frozen yogurt restaurant, I knew I was limited on the decorations that I could display. I decided to create fun treat bags for each guest that would serve as decor to pull her birthday theme together. I decided to fill each bag with fun ninja-themed goodies.

Zurchers has a wide array of party items, which helped simplify my ninja party-supply search. Here’s what you’ll need and a simple step-by-step tutorial:

Pink Paper Bag (8″ x 10″), purple streamer, pink flowers (can be cut off of a lei), and these ninja eyes from Oriental Trading. You’ll also need scissors, glue, and tape.

First, cut a piece of streamer that’s approximately 14″ long. This piece will serve as the ninja’s headband. You’ll want some of the streamer to hang off of the bag. Glue the strip of streamer across the top of the bag. Second, cut out the ninja eyes and glue to the bag so that it’s slightly covered by the streamer. Last, but not least, glue one flower to the streamer. (If you like the effect of a fuller flower, glue a second flower on top.)

Then comes the fun part—filling the treat bag with fun ninja-themed items. I found ninja water bottles from Zurchers and other ninja-themed goodies from Oriental Trading. (Water bottle, ninja bracelet, stickers, ninja-themed eggs filled with candy, and mini ninja warrior paratroopers)

If you have boys attending the party, you can create similar treat bags. Use red paper bags, black streamer, and these printable eyes from Oriental Trading. I also found black/red themed ninja bottles that will go nicely with the bags.

Birthdays are a big deal in my household! I love making my children feel special and creating fun crafts that we can do together.
